12v Negative Earth
With heavy metal as a foundation, they swing between amazing core riffs, temperamental outbursts and melodious hooks. Their music give you a feeling that these boys have been raised on a regular dose of metal core and a snack of Faith No more, Sepultura and Helmet. The sound of their latest album "Heroes Defeated" is an homage to bands like Pantera, Demon Hunter and Machinehead. However, unlike other metal outfits their sound has never been condemned as repetitive, which some metal bands are blamed for. Their first album, "Where did all the sunshine go?" laid their heavy metal foundation. People took them as serious and authentic performers in a sea of pseudo metal bands. Their second "Babysteps"(March 1999) worked its way to an ever-growing fan-base. In 2005, they raised the bar with their latest album "Heroes Defeated",engineered by Kyle Schmidt, mixed by Dave Barrick and recorded at Nashville's Quad Studios. "In Circles" is received widely among fans for its intense and strong chorus. The all-round aesthetic of this album though heavy metal, is still accessible to more varied audiences. 12V Negative Earth deserves a shout-out for being easy to approach without being a sell-out in an era where music is quasi-corporate manufactured. "Nobody Move", another song from this album is a great mix of energetic melody and crisp heaviness. "RX" is by far the catchiest song tune with an upbeat tempo that makes speaks of the band's versatility. They have also signed a promotional deal with "Jaegermeister". All in all , buying tickets or records for 12v Negative Earth makes perfect sense as the audience is left with a feeling of musical and emotional indulgence. "RX" is the catchiest and most melodic track, with a lot of melodic textures layered over the rhythms and a slightly peppier tempo that definitely makes a difference.
12V positive earth's talents are unsurpassed as proven by the adulation received from fans, contemporaries and critics. Selling tickets come naturally to them. They are, after all, a homegrown band of simple yet easily addictive music.
