Bob Seger and the Sliver Bullet Band used to be a platinum selling band that dominated the 1970s and 1980s. Now they are an annual touring sensation dominating the road, choosing to play hits like “Turn the Page” rather than frustrate fans with new material. If Seger consistently recorded new material, the Silver Bullet Band would have to grow with the times, and his fans do not want him to expand his musical horizons. No, they are happy to enjoy their Bob Seger tickets to take part for a set of nostalgia and are willing to dish out some big bucks for compilation albums so they can take that sentimentality on the road.

The seventh week of the NFL season has a surprisingly few premier games on the schedule. There is one game that stands out among the many others though. On Sunday, at 1:00 PM ET, the Atlanta Falcons will travel to Ford Field to play the Detroit Lions.

The first War Horse trailer intrigued audiences, gently tugging at the heart strings across the English-speaking world, but this second War Horse trailer takes a tight grip and pulls back as hard as it can. Watching this extended War Horse trailer makes me hold my breath as the title screens and the soft symphonic movie music make me want to cheer while sitting in my chair.

The idea of genres in music is becoming increasingly archaic, or at least the idea of keeping the stars from different genres separate is becoming absurd. As the latest example of this soon to be principle is Taylor Swift proves.

Would you rather have a 5 foot 9 receiver who weighs 185 pounds, runs a 4.61 40-yard dash, and has a 30 inch vertical or a 6 foot 5 receiver who weighs 236 pounds, runs a 4.35 40-yard dash, and has a 45 inch vertical? Or perhaps the question should be, would you rather have a receiver who has 45 receptions for 740 yards through five games or the receiver who has an NFL record 9 touchdowns through five games?

Josh Gad is a busy fellow these days. He is starring in a hit Broadway musical and is cashing in on his new found popularity by landing a gig as a voice over artist on MTV and playing more prominent film roles. Gad has basically ensured that he will be the biggest star once Book of Mormon tickets are collected for the original cast’s final bow.

Jeff Dunham is back on tour following the debut of “Control Chaos” on Comedy Central on September 25, 2011. The ventriloquist and comedian can claim another success with 5.5 million people tuning in to watch his program. However, like most comedians, he earns his living on the road. So he has launched a tour that will take him throughout the United States and Canada until deep into 2012.

The Houston Texans are trying to fill the void left by Peyton Manning in the AFC South. The Colts are winless, making Manning’s placement on the IR more and more likely. Meanwhile, the Texans are taking advantage of an impressive running game while the passing game heats up.

Wicked the Musical has done more than simply wow audiences; it has been a huge break for many of its principle actors and actresses, especially those who originated the roles. Norbert Leo Butz is one of those actors. He portrayed Fiyero in the original production.
