Honda 200 Tickets The Honda 200 is the open wheel race sponsored by Westfield Insurance and Honda held at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The race is just 85 laps long, with the drives traversing 191.93 miles. The race is one that favors skill on turns rather than pure speed thanks to the twists and turns at odd angles throughout the course. It gives the fan base the best show for their money, with a permanent racing structure that looks more like a street course. The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course first played home to an open racing event in 1980. The CART race picked up in 1983 and continued until 2003 for the Champ Cart series. The course has had periods of domination by certain drivers. The Andretti family has won three events (1984, 1990, and 1991), Bobby Rahal won twice in row (1985 and 1986), Emerson Fittipaldi (1992 and 1993), Al Unser Jr. (1994 and 1995), and Alex Zanardi (1996 and 1997).

 The course dropped off the map after the 2003 race, but the IRL IndyCar Series started running the Honda 200 in 2007. Scott Dixon won the first IRL event and the first race after IRL and Champ Cart series merged in 2009. Ryan Briscoe helped keep the New Zealand streak going with a 2008 victory. The 2010 Honda 200 will take place on August 9 and will be broadcast on the Versus network. The race used to enjoy a terrific lead in with the final round of the British Open. This season they will not have that advantage, but the race is expected to draw strong numbers on-air and in-person none-the-less.
