In 1961, Bland released an album "Two Steps from the Blues"; the album's cover was work of the art. The cover showed a singer standing in front of a single stored building. He was wearing gray pants and black shirt. Hanging his court over his shoulder and wearing dark glasses to hide his eyes from the sunlight. The building was paneled in squares of blue and white – representing "The Blues". His names appear on one of the panels. Only three colors - black or blue or white were used in cover. He was born in a little town of Rosemak, Tenn., which is just next to Memphis. On 27 January 1930. He only went to school up to 3rd grade and is practically illiterate today also.
