Brandon Flowers (born June 21, 1981) is the lead singer of the Killers who has struck out on his own for a solo album. The album, Flamingo, hit the shelves on September 14, 2010, although it was leaked on the Internet on September 4. Debuting the on the Billboard 200 in the United States and number one in the UK, it appears his solo effort is a resounding success. Now Brandon Flowers tickets are available for a promotional tour that will keep him busy through 2011.
The solo album is not a break from the Killers. The band remains one of the most popular alternative rock bands after a decade of hard work to begin the 21st century. Straddling the line between mainstream alternative rock and indie rock, the group features synth pop sounds harkening back to the Cure, especially thanks to the vocal talents of Brandon Flowers.
