Artist Biography - Bubbha Thomas
|
 Born in Houston, Texas, Bubbha has been enlightening music fans around the world from Amsterdam to Japan with his unique style of drumming. Over the past five years, his music has become increasingly popular with young people. Annually, more than 40,000 elementary school children across the state of Texas enjoy his music through his celebrated "Jazz & Poetry Series," and many teenagers in middle and high schools in the Houston area play his music through their stage band programs.
Bubbha heads up such nationally recognized children's programs as the "Summer Jazz Workshop" and "Jazz & Poetry Series", as thirty two seasons of accomplishment attest, help teenager musicians unlock critical doors, plant creative thinking skills, and help many discover their keys to personal growth.
An acknowledged organizer and developer of jazz education programming for children, his legendary 30-year career is highlighted with the release of his new album; "It's All About Style." On this recording, he expands his artistic talents and creative control even further as he produced many of the album's tracks.
