Bun B began his musical career as part of the duo UGK, Underground Kingz. He and his rap partner Pimp C released six albums. That fruitful partnership came to an end after Pimp C's went to prison on an aggravated assault charge in 2003 and then his death in 2007, forcing Bun B (Bernard Freeman) to begin a solo career.
