The city of Canyonville is located in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. It is the third oldest town in Oregon, that sits below Canyon Mountain and next to the South Umpqua River. As of 2007, Canyonville's estimated population was 1,640.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.4 km² (0.9 square miles), all of it land.

Originally, Canyonville was known as North Canyonville. History says, Alexander Roderick McCloud was the first non-Indians who visited the site of present day Canyonville in the year 1828.

Canyonville is home to many fine bible schools. The city attracts a number of tourists every year. The South Umpqua Historical Society Museum, and the Pioneer-Indian Museum, which was established in the year 1969, are some of the attractions for tourists, as well as locals. Canyonville is also famous as a center for antiques shopping.

In the year 1992, the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians founded a Bingo Hall in the city that later became the famous Seven Feathers Hotel & Casino Resort. For years, this Nevada-style casino has been the hottest tourist attraction in Canyonville, which attracts over 1 million guests annually.
