Though her first love was customary and traditional Yiddish music, yet she was not reluctant to embrace various folk, traditional, and world beat, charming styles from everywhere on the globe. Her first Israeli hit record came in 1964, that same year she was drafted into the army. In 1998, it was 34 years since she stepped in to the musical arena; she completed a best-of collection titled Crazy Flower in the U.S. she is no kid for introducing innovations in her music style. She has the credit of setting the poems of various 20th-century Yiddish writers to music. This innovation resulted in a collaborative album The Well, with the Klezmatics. Yiddish Songs followed in early 2000. Her husband, the filmmaker Nadav Levitan, has also been a part of her music career, who wrote all the lyrics for her "End of the Holiday" album. She is one of the proud recipients of the prestigious Kinor David (David's Harp) Prize. She has also appeared in several multi-artist collections, like the Yiddish "The Hidden Gate - Jewish Music around the World" and "Songs of The Vilna Ghetto".
