The frontcourt also welcomes back big 6'-10', 330-lb junior Jack Marlow and 6'-7' junior Dreike Bouldin, so they will be able to bang the boards with anybody. In addition, a redshirt walk-on returns from last year's team in 6'-5' junior Chris Brazelton, along with 6'-9' freshman Hector Hernandez. Fresno's outstanding team defense helped them allow just 61 points per game (58 ppg at home). Fresno was 8-8 SU/5-10 ATS at home, and 6-7 SU/7-6 ATS on the road because of injuries.

 The backcourt has a new look with the graduation of Shantay Legans. 6'-0' junior M'Jumbe Williams will get some time to shine along with freshman 6'-3' Dwight O'Neil. The addition of former Washington Union High School standout JaVance Coleman, a sophomore who last year played for College of the Sequoias (Visalia, Calif), could also help. This team got smacked 80-67 at Oregon as a +11 dog last season and lost 69-64 to Santa Clara as a favorite but looks improved this year.
'This is a young, fresh group with a great attitude, tremendous focus and unusually good personal chemistry,' coach Ray Lopes said. 'The team will be faster and more athletic than last year. Our style will be aggressive and up-tempo. I'm looking forward to starting the season with high energy and then building on that strength as the team matures together. We anticipate a great season.' It should be better than last season's.
