In only his first season at West Point, Army head coach Rich Ellerson has directed the Black Knights to a 5-6 record, their largest number of victories since 1996. Army is led by their freshman quarterback, Trent Steelman, and boasts of having one of the NCAA's stingiest defenses – allowing just 309.9 yards and 22.4 points per game, which respectively ranks them 17th and 40th in those categories. Additionally, defensive end Josh McNary heads up Army's defensive attack, ranking 2nd in the nation in tackles for loss with an average of over 2 per game, and 3rd in quarterback sacks per game with just over 1. Fielding one of the youngest rosters in the nation, UCLA won three consecutive games in November, giving them a 6-6 record and the opportunity to play in their first bowl game under head coach Rick Neuheisel. The Bruins have gotten things done with defense, boasting the nation's interception leader in free safety Rahim Moore, along with defensive tackle Brian Price who is tied for 3rd in the nation with a season total of 22.5 tackles for loss. The EagleBank Bowl is not only a perfect opportunity for fans to share in the growing tradition of a brand new NCAA bowl game, but also for them to experience all of the other history that our nation's capital has to offer. Get your tickets now, and make your way to RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. for the second playing of the EagleBank Bowl on December 29, 2009.
