The Florida State Seminoles first started playing college football in 1947. Over those years they have gone an incredible 450-215-17. That is a winning percentage of 67.7 percent with two national titles and 15 conference championships. One of the biggest legends at Florida State is a coach, not one of its two Heisman Trophy winners adn 26 All-Americans. The coach, Bobby Bowden has been with the program since 1976 and has amassed 300 career victories during that tenure with only 85 losses. The Seminoles football team has become part of the fabric of college football and its 82,300-seat stadium regularly sells out tickets. The stadium, Doak Campbell Stadium, has even paid homage to its living legend, naming the field after head coach Bobby Bowden.
