Iowa ended the season 7-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play. The Hawkeyes ended the season averaging 29.1 points, 237.4 passing yards, and 142 rushing yards a game. Coach Kirk Ferentz's defense holds the opposition to 16.4 points a game. This team will need its stars to come alive o n offense to beat the Tigers in the Insight Bowl.
These key players are QB Ricky Stanzi, RB Adam Robinson, WR Marvin McNutt, and WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos. Stanzi has 2,804 yards and 25 touchdowns with a mere 4 interceptions. Robinson ran for 941 yards and 10 touchdowns. McNutt caught 51 footballs for 798 yards and 8 touchdowns. Johnson-Koulianos caught 46 for 10.
