Certainly all these groups of people should be proud to be associated with the team, even if they are not necessarily real fans. Notre Dame football tickets may be tarnished in that same nations minds of late. Unfortunately, the last championship came back in 1988. Since then Notre Dame has struggled, especially in the 21st century. Three coaches have taken the lead since the turn of the century. Tyrone Willingham, Charlie Weis, and now Brian Kelly have tried to bring the Notre Dame college football program back to prominence. The Fighting Irish are in danger of becoming a relic in the minds of football fans under the age of 35.
