The South Carolina Gamecocks first began playing college football in 1892. As popular as college football may be in the South, the Gamecocks have been quite average, posting a 50.2 winning percentage in the past 100-plus years. South Carolina can be proud of its single conference title when they were apart of the ACC and its one division title since joining the SEC. The South Carolina Gamecocks have been a member of the SEC since 1992 and have established a couple primary rivalries. To date, the Gamecocks have rivalries with the Clemson Tigers and the George Bulldogs. Both of these rivalries may be with SEC teams, but they date back to the 19th century. The Clemson rivalry is an in-state rivalry and the rivalry with Georgia is a border rival. OnlineSeats has the South Carolina Gamecocks tickets to find the best seats at the Williams-Brice Stadium. This season may be the season that Steve Spurrier is able to repeat as the conference division title holder. Spurrier is looking for his fourth straight bowl appearance but his first win in that time.
