Dale Earnhardt Tribute Concert
Ralph Dale Earnhardt Sr., the highly popular American NASCAR driver was born in the year 1951. He was born in North Carolina to Ralph Lee Earnhardt and Martha Colema Earnhardt .He was best known for his popularity as a driver in Winston Cup series in which he won seven championships. The "Dale Earnhardt organization" organizes concert each and every year to pay tribute to this legend. Some of the very famous bands like Alabama, and singers like Sheryl Crow will be present there to perform this year.
His unique and aggressive style of driving style made him favourite among his fans and gained him revered nick name "The Intimidator". He died in a crash on the verge of his final lap of the 2001 daytona 500. After his death, NASCAR installed safer barriers at all the tracks in addition to new safety devices and concepts.
He began his career with Winston Cup in the year 1975 making his start at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He Drove an Ed Negre car and got 22nd position. In the year 1970 he finished off his year with one win on April 1st 1979 at the Bristol Motor Speedway. In the same year he also got 11 top 5's, 4 poles, 17 top 10 positions. He was one of the potent rookie class drivers in NASCAR history.

 In the year 1980 he went up to win his very first championship. He also won NASCAR rookie of the year award in that same year. In the year 1987 he recorded 11 wins at Richmond, Darlington, Bristol, North Wilkesboro, Bristol Michigan, Pocono Martinsville, and Rockingham. He set up a record of 4 consecutive wins and earned his nick name "The Intimidator" during the win at Winston at Charlotte by driving out Bill Elliott in the final segment of the race. In the year 1989 he scored five wins two at Dover, one at north wilkesboro, Darlington and Atlanta respectively.
He had a memorable season in the year 2000 where he scored his two of most exciting wins of the year. He died in a crash in the year 2001 in 2001 daytona 500 racing series.
The Dale Earnhardt Tribute Concert is organized each and every year to pay tribute to one of the gems in NASCAR racing history.
