Darkest Hour is a death metal band from Washington, DC. Darkest Hour are the custodians of the death metal/hardcore merger that was founded in the early '90s by bands like Carcass and Entombed. The band consists of guitarist Mike Schleibaum, bassist Billups Allen, vocalist John Henry, guitarist Fred Ziomek and drummer Ryan Parrish.
The band came into being in the late '90s. They signed their first record contract in 1991 under the label of MIA records. The label is a New York-based underground metal label. Inspired by the confidence shows in them, the band recorded their debut album, "The Mark of Judas," which was released a year later. Sadly as they were about to start the promotions for their album the record company went bust.
