It took three years, but in 1995 Kevin Young, Brad Noah, and Tim Barrett, as Disciple, released their debut album. The Christian rock group earned a record contract with Warner Resound thanks to quality and sound of What Was I Thinking. The backing of a major label led to an incredible career recording and touring. Disciple Tickets now sell well to listen to this Christian inspired hard rocking group.
The current band lineup has changed over the years. Now founding group member Kevin Young is the lead singer, Israel Beachy has taken over on bass guitar to free Young up at the mic, Andrew Welch and Micah Sannan play guitar, and Trent Reiff is the drummer. Co-founder Tim Barrett left in 2010. Brad Noah remains a part of the band, just restricting himself to songwriting duties and occasionally plays guitar.

The group has more than just legions of fans and eight studio albums to their credit. Disciple also has earned several GMA Dove Award nominations. The second album, This Might Sting A Little, earned two. The third album, By God, earned two more. In fact, it seems that every album released results in two more Dove Award nominations.
