Gilberto Santa Rosa and his friend Victor Manuelle released a joint live album in 2005- Dos Soneros, Una Historia. The album was a concert release from Sony BMG Music Entertainment. It features a total of 12 songs and a closing medley. Dos Soneros - En Vivo Desde el Estadio Roberto Clemente includes renditions of "Dos Soneros," "Almas Gemelas," and more. Gilberto Santa Rosa, the Salsa singer and band leader is popularly known as "The Salsa Gentleman" This Puerto Rican singer was born on 21 August 1950. In the 80s the mainstream salsa recording industry was largely ruled by marketing images of good looking young male vocalists, the focus was not on some stimulating performances. Santa Rosa was the first to foray as solo singer and being amongst the small number who deserve to be called sonero. He performed with top Puerto Rican bandleaders like Tommy Olivencia and Willie Rosario. He later signed with Ralph Cartagena's Combo records.
Santa Rosa debuted on Good Vibrations fronting his own salsa orquesta of two trumpets, two trombones, baritone saxophone, rhythm section in 1986. He released three albums on Combo and then switched to CBS Records. With CBS records he issued salsa romántica set Punto De Vista in 1990. The album topped salsa charts and included smash hits like "Vivir Sin Ella" and "Perdoname". Gilberto's 1991 CBS/Sony follow-up, Perspectiva, was another smash hit.

From 1984 to1990, Gilberto acted as artistic assistant and sang chorus on albums by Puerto Rican bandleader Mario Ortiz. In 1990, he won the Billboard Lo Nuestro award for Best Male Singer. He has also performed at New York's prestigious annual salsa festival. The same yearSanta Rosa worked with Andy Montanez and Pedro Brull from Mulneze as a contemporary soneros assembled by Don Perignon, the bandleader. They worked on the La Puertorriquena project.
Gilberto's released "Expression" that included the single "Fulana" meaning What's her name. The album was appreciated well. In 2001, the album "Romantico" was another hit. The success continued with "Viceversa" in 2002. The album was a hit in the Latin community in the United States and in all of Latin-America. Gilberto has kept alive the musical legacy of late Tito Rodriguez. Tito's influence can be seen in Gilberto's articles of clothing, music and furniture from his home in Puerto Rico. Gilberto and Manuelle set the stage ablaze in the concert.
