Downspiral
Downspiral, though most play rock, likes to be inventive and have fun with their music taking it to higher platforms. Fans with tickets may be a little confused in the beginning but no one ever asked for their money back. They were members of different bands before they came together to form Downspiral.
5 different musicians with different individualistic tastes may not be a prerequisite to new up and comers to have in mind while selection. However, for the boys of Downspiral, it ends up being a big bad mash of unique alternative rock that fans remember for long. The band cites Nirvana, Green Day, Staind, Smashing Pumpkins, Our Lady Peace, Pearl Jam, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Alice in Chains, Story of the Year, Mike Jones, The Beatles, Bullet for my Valentine, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters, Breaking Benjamin, Ashes of Soma, Avenged Sevenfold etc as their musical influences. Some fans comment saying Downspiral's sound is similar to Shinedown and Tool. Catch Downspiral as they perform at Club Bijou 's Final Concert on the 28th of April, this Saturday in Toledo, Ohio. Their performance at "Headliners" in Toledo, Ohio served as a good boost to their publicity. It created a lot of worth of mouth buzz within the city, after which many music lovers seriously sought their concert tickets. Besides Toledo, Downspiral have also performed at Bowling Green. The Toledo Free Press made a special mention of Downspiral. Even 106.5's Homegrown Zone is a big supporter of the band.

Artist Biography - Downspiral
|
Downspiral is formed of John Pauken on vocals; Jason Sheskey on guitar; Johnny Ramsay on drums; Josh Foxhuber on bass; Scotty Ferguson on guitar. They hail from Toledo, Ohio. Songs like "Yellow Ledbetter" and "Deadlight Live" are popular amongst radio and fans who have watched the m perform a number of times. Among the local bands, Downspiral have had the most support from clubs, radio and fans. With talent like theirs, its a no-brainer.
When vocalist John Pauken is not rocking the jam with Downspiral, he is busy studying for his Real Estate certificate at Owens Community College. A regular guy, anyone can relate to. When not performing or studying, Pauken relaxes watching his favorite movies: Good Will Hunting, Tommy Boy, Office Space The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Forrest Gump, Tombstone, Braveheart, Happy Gilmore, Dumb and Dumber, Rudy, Saving Private Ryan etc. Band drummer,Johnny Ramsay also studied at Owens College along with Pauken.
Downspiral's performances are very stripped-down, basic. Not one to dress like heroes from the Glam rock era with crazy hair, crazy clothes and even crazier antics. However, when on stage Downspiral truly comes to live. The band would let their music do the talking. Currently, the band's Demo which has four songs is on sale at their performances.
