Born in 1945 in Rochester New York, John Valby the King of Filthy Song Parodies lives up to his nickname of Dr. Dirty. Buy tickets to watch this comic tyrant spare no possible human or race. Arabs, Hispanics, blacks, Rednecks, Polish, republicans and democrats are not spared from his jokes and parodies. If you like your comedy strange, somewhat perverted, and sometimes outright profane, you will love this man.
Growing up, Valby attended Catholic schools which where he learnt piano from Sisters Edwina and Mary Leo. Valby spent his army years in fort Hood Texas but never dispatched to Vietnam as a senior officer was fond of him. Currently, he live with his wife and five children outside Niagara falls, New York. Dr. Dirty, the character that Valby takes on is foul-mouthed, offensive, funny, king of the dirty ditty. However, the real John Valby is intelligent, articulate, sensitive , polite, and gracious. A thorough sports freak, Valby likes to play hockey and basketball. In fact, Valby refuses work on Monday nights because he doesn't like to miss Monday Night Football. Accessible and down-to-earth, Valby performs in barrooms and colleges throughout the east coast. Armed with an old-fashioned piano, Valby completes his image with a classic white tails tuxedo, granny glasses, sneakers,long hair and a black derby hat. Valby's U.S.P. is creating filthy parodies of old songs, sea shanties, nursery rhymes, pop tunes. Add to it, his nutty routines on racial and sexual topics with a big dash of events and people from now and history. Like every comical entertainer, his only pursuit is making people laugh. Valby mostly sings drinking songs: Roll Your Leg Over, Barnacle Bill, Ya, Ya,Ya (aka Limericks). Valby's work can be found in Richard Reuss' master thesis and Ed Cray's Erotic Muse. On a serious note, Valby has recorded and produced pop/rock albums with other musicians and for himself. Surprisingly, in 1971 he produced "Schony" for Buffalo Sabres' defenseman Jim Schoenfeld. Dr. Dirty is just as good on CD as he is performing in a Long Island bar. Valby's shows are laugh riots where he screams obscenities at his audience, and they scream them right back at him. The audience laughs and sings with him ending the show with a guaranteed thunderous applause.
