Dream Street was the name of a teen bubblegum pop group from 2000 to 2003. the producers Louis Baldonierie and Brian Lukow had out together the group and featured five boys from New York. The group featured Jess McCartney, Gregory Raposo, Matt Ballinger, Frakie Galasso, and Chris Trousdale. Baldonieri and Luckw made an attempt of introducing a group of teenagers to the music world, all of whom had a prior experience of stage singing. They wanted to create an impact on pop music industry with a band of teenagers.
In 2001 the band released their self titled album and which was certified Gold in the US by the RIAA. The album released by Dream Street was the final one, which was released in 2002. It was the soundtrack of the film The Biggest Fan starring a former Dream Street member Chris Trousdale. Although the album was going gold but still the group not recognized as more popular than tween market stars like NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys. It was during the early 2002, when group went under disputes with its producers as a result of which , four members of the group Mc Cartney, Raposo, Ballinger, and Gallasso and their parents filed suit against Louis Baldonieri and Brain Luckow in order to revoke their prior approval of their initial production agreement. The request was although denied by the New York Supreme Court. The band officially dispersed but only Chris Trousdale stayed with the production team of Baldonieri and Lukow.

Artist Biography - Dream Street

Soon after the group was dissolved, the four members who left the production team went on different entertainment paths. Matt Ballinger became the member of a Massachusetts based band, where he was also attending college. Matt was with the group for a short period of time and helped in forming "The Juice", before disbanding. Frankie Galasso found his way into films and managed to get a role in the movie A Tale of Two Pizzas. Chris T rousdale, with the support from Lukow and Baldonieri finished Biggest Fan, which finally released in Summer 2005, once all the legal proceeding were finished. Soon after he finished his movie, Chris began recording and collecting songs for his new album which is yet to be named and released. Greg Raposo became a big name on Radio Disney which happens to be a popular tween station. He recorded and released his first single album "Take Me Back Home", which soon became a staple on Radio Disney. But undoubtedly the biggest breakout of Dream Street was its youngest member Jesse McCartney. In 2003 he recorded a triple track album JMac and also released the first track titled Beautiful Soul. This track soon became top 20 hit on the tween station Radio Disney. He then signed with Hollywood Records, which is owned by Disney and soon began recording an album. The same year Jesse and fellow Dream Street ex-member Raposo and an up-coming pop star Stevie Brock, all went on the Jingle Jam tour. In the meantime he got a offer for the role on the hit WB teen show Summerland. The show soon became famous among the audience aged 15-24, and shot the stars to fame, including Jesse. He re-released "Beautiful Soul" and it became a large top 40 song. It was a common request for shows such as TRL. Jesse then went on touring through the United States and Australia making him a famous and a bigger star. He also did an unforgettable voice role as Roxas in the popular RPG Kingdom Hearts II.
