"I Hate Every Day Without You Kid" has very simple guitar lines along with a simple set up. But it is very catchy and soothing to the ears. One of the plus point of the album is the lyrics. The lyrics are very emotional based around the loss of someone very close and intimate to you. The lyrics of the album are perfect for a good instrumental album of any time. The tracks of the album are You're Not Alone, Maybe Someday, Black Triangles, Promise, Accidents, Rotting On The Vine, The Hand That Cuts, Spending Time Alone, Wide Awake, Why Are You Following Me? and Goodbyes.
Todd Price, the founder of the band has been writing songs and playing in different bands since the late 1990s. He used to work with the band, Plain. The track "Life Without Ambition," is one of the biggest hit given by this band. The track appeared on the second volume of the Emo Diaries compilation series, A Million Miles Away.
But Todd Price soon left Plain and joined another band named Rev. This new experience was truly disastrous and somehow, Todd Price could not perform his best and turned to drugs and alcohol. To overcome the frustration and depression, he moved to San Diego from Detroit. With a new enthusiasm, Todd Price began writing songs as a way to get his disturbed life back on track.
In the end of 2003, Todd Price send some his finest recordings to Brian Schechter. This time Brian Schechter, founder of the Riot Squad label, was totally spell bound by Todd Price's latest works. And after six months of hard work, Todd Price was ready to build a new band. From a long list Todd Price selected Dan Fitzgerald and drummer Jaeson Hertzberg after a long practice session.
