Dropping Daylight
The debut album of Dropping Daylight is "Brace Yourself". The album was released on June 13, 2006, under the label of Octone Records. The tracks of the album are Tell Me, Brace Yourself, Waiting Through The Afternoon, Apologies, Take A Photograph, Lucy, Soliloquy, War Song, Blame Me, Answering Our Prayers and Till You Feel Something. This debut record "Brace Yourself," sums up the eventful life experiences during the six months of recordings in New Jersey. It was a new beginning for the band members.
The track "Tell Me" from their debut album, "Brace Yourself," is regularly played by a number of radio stations like Madison's Solid Rock 94.1, Seattle's 107.7 The End and Rock 104, Dallas-Fort Worth's 102.1 The Edge and even eastern Ohio.
The first work of the band which made them really famous was an EP titled, "Take A Photograph". The EP contains pre-album versions of four songs that is now available in their debut album. This EP featured songs like Take a Photograph, Save Yourself (Blame Me), Lucy and Till You Feel Something.
Dropping Daylight, regularly tour with Breaking Benjamin, an American post-grunge band. Sebastian Davin even contributed his vocals to the Phobia album of Breaking Benjamin. Recently, the band also toured with Army of Anyone, Monty Are I and Jason Mraz. Dropping Daylight shares a good relationship with Motion City Soundtrack, Jason Mraz, Simple Plan, Plain White Ts, Taylor Hawkins, Mae and Dave Grohl. In 2006, the band performed in Seattle at El Corazon with Dizmas and Flyleaf.
Dropping Daylight was formerly known by the name of Sue Generis. For many years, Dropping Daylight was a crucial part of the Vans Warped Tour. In 2005, Dropping Daylight was signed by Octone Records and were featured on MTV News, You Hear it First. Dropping Daylight is a piano based hard rock band. Sebastian Davin is playing the piano since he was 5 years old. The band is basically influenced by Fiona Apple, Ben Folds and Billy Joel. They get the inspiration to create lovely music from rock heroes of past like Foo Fighters, Weezer, Deftones and Smashing Pumpkins.
