Ed Kowalczyk is perhaps best known as the front man for the 1990s alternative rock band Live. He formed the group in York, Pennsylvania, constructing the group from within his high school. In the new century, Ed Kowalczyk tickets sell by themselves, as he embarks on a solo career in the wake of the bitter breakup of the band Live.
His first solo effort is entitled Alive, surely inciting the ire of his former band mates. The album has the same alternative rock anthem-type tracks for which he and his former band were known. The album, which includes collaboration with Chris Daughtry on the single "Drink (Everlasting Love)", focuses on the need for faith and family in trying times.
