Six members are guitarist Danick Duplelle, fiddle by David Pichette, Dale Wallace on keyboards, bass guitar by Patrick Bourque, drummer Mike Melancon and lead vocals by Brad Mates. Artist Biography - Emerson Drive
In 2001 Emerson Drive posted their entry in country music. Very soon they signed a contract with Dream Works a major record label. They won many awards with their first self titled record " Emerson Drive". In 2003 band was winner of ACM Top New Vocal Group/Duo. Songs in debut album were " Looking Over My Shoulder", " I Should Be Sleeping", " Fall Into Me", "Only God (Could Stop Me Loving You)", " It's All About You", "Evidence", "I see Heaven:, "How Lucky I Am", "Hollywood Kiss", "Only God" "Light of Day", "Passionate Desperate Love", " Say My name" were some songs on their first album.
Second album entitled " What If" released in 2004. "What If" was released with fourteen songs "What If", "If you Were My Girl", "November", "Still Got Yesterday", "Running on Back to You", "Simple Miracles". Members of Emerson Drive made Nashville their home honing their musical skills and working more hard for making more award winning music. Danick Dupelle said " We've all purchased homes in Nashville in the past year and we feel like we are a part of the community now. e've set up shop here and it's more accessible to songwriting and any other business that needs to be done. It's nice to have a home base for our personal belongings, whereas before it was always in a hotel or on a bus. It's just a more comfortable setting that allows us to relax more and be creative."
Emerson Drive left Cream Works but were signed by Midas Records of Nashville. Band has been consistently awarded for their superb music. They were winner for New Country Artist Of The Year of the 2002 Billboard Music Award. Same year they were also the Billboard's #1 Top Country Artist of the Year for 2002. The Canadian Country Music Association named Emerson Drive Group of the Year for two back to back years. Their two singles " I Should Be Sleeping" and " Fall Into Me" have been top five hits. Individual members of band have also received awards Dale Wallace and David Pichette were awarded in 2005 CCMA Awards.
