Emmure is a hardcore metal that hails from all around the New York City area. Some of the original members were from New Fairfield, Connecticut and some were Burroughs like Queens. The one thing all the members had in common was a desire to writer and record the heaviest music out there. Now, six years after that band was formed in 2006, Emmure tickets have been available throughout the lower 48 states to listen to a brand of metal that takes it up a much needed notch in this pop dominated world.
The band originally was made up of Frank Palmeri, Ben Lionetti, Jessie Ketive, Mark Davis, and Joe Lionetti. Pameri was and still is the lead singer for Emmure. Of the Lionetti brothers, Ben was the guitarist and Joe was the drummer. The two have since left the group, replaced by Mike Mullholland on guitar and Mike Kaabe on drums. Jessie Ketive was and still is the guitarist and is the main writer for the group, taking the band heavier when they thought it was not possible. Mark Davis remains the bassist.
Though, the Lionetti brothers have left Emmure, they were a major part of the beginning, recruiting Palmeri as the lead singer. Before sites like MySpace were all too commonplace these three were searching for bandmates over the Internet. They found each other through a message board, but soon discovered that the brothers live in New Fairfield, Connecticut and the lead singer lived in Queens. The musicians made it work though, taking the train back and forth because of a common musical vision.
Ketive and Davis would soon join and the group went along trying to write and arrange songs to shock the world with an emotionally heavy metal that would rise above all else. Ketive's writing was the last piece of the puzzle for Emmure.

The band officially began in 2003. Their sound, which epitomized the tough, frustrating times, soon found an interested label, The City is Burning. Emmure would wait three years before recording their first EP, The Complete Guide to Needlework. After the EP in 2006, the studio albums would follow in succession. The full-length debut Goodbye to the Gallows was released in 2007, The Respect Issue was released in 2008, and Felony was released on August 18, 2009.
Emmure toured endlessly after releasing the albums, especially after signing with Victory Records. Emmure tickets have been available in all of the lower 48 states, though Alaska and Hawaii are surely not far behind. Emmure spent the summer of 2009 headlining a tour with Endwell, On Broken Wings, Ligeia, and Recon in support. Before the summer tour series started the Lionetti brothers left the band, being replaced by Mullholland and Kaabe.
