‘Endicott’ is a village of Binghamton Metropolitan Statistical Area in Broome County of New York. It was named after the founding member of Endicott Johnson Corporation shoe manufacturing company, Henry B. Endicott.

This village is situated in the Town of Union in west Binghamton. Greater Binghamton Airport is at its closest proximity. This village is part of the ‘Triple Cities’ alongside Binghamton and Johnson City. It was initially made up of two distinct villages named Union Village, being incorporated in 1892, and Endicott that had been incorporated in 1906. Both Endicott and Union were merged into a single village in 1921.

Endicott is famous for being the birthplace of IBM computers that was established here in 1906. This village is home to a branch of Syracuse University that was famous as Triple Cities College. It was initiated in Endicott in 1946. Endicott has hosted the first Dick's Sporting Goods Open Champions Tour stop in July 2007.

It is also famous for being the birthplace of four-time All-Star baseball player Johnny Logan. The place is birthplace of the creator of comic strips Johnny Hart, who is the co-creator of ‘The Wizard Of Id’ and philosopher and author Camille Paglia. This village celebrated its centennial in 2006. Famous actor, Maxwell Dillon, the fictional Spiderman villain known as Electro, was born in Endicott.

According to 2000 census this city has 13,038 inhabitants, 5,996 households and 3,015 families. Its population density is 4,156.1 people per square mile. The village has 6,686 housing units at an average density of 2,131.3/sq mi. Its racial makeup is 91.65% Whites, 3.75% African Americans, 0.25% Native Americans, 1.96% Asians, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.67% from miscellaneous races, 1.66% from two or more races and 1.67% of Hispanic race.

The sex ratio of Endicott is 89.3 males for every 100 females. It has 86.4 males for every 100 females aged 18 and above. The US Census Bureau estimates that this village has a total area of 3.1 square miles. All of it is land area.
