The tones, beats and rhythms also sound different as the music of the album is very much inspired from the Jazz that was popular somewhere between 1920's and 1950's. Erin McKeown, a female with a multi-talent personality was born on October 15, 1977. She is known for her extreme range of talents inherited in the form of a multi-instrumentalist, folk-rock singer and a songwriter also.
Owing to her immense interest in the folk music, she started off her career in the folk scene only. Her first album was Monday Morning Cold. It was released on her own label that is TVP Records. She was dedicated and hardworking soul. She travelled throughout New England when she was still a student at Brown University with a view to promote her record. Later on, she completed her graduation from Brown with a degree in Ethnomusicology.
The specialty of McKeown's music is that it is difficult. It is a real tough task to categorise her music in terms of specific genre as she has touched all the genres leaving nothing. Her music in various genres like pop, swing, rock, folk, and electronic music, as well as many other genres have evoked equal response from her fans.
