G3
G-3 is a live music show and guitar tour, held every year. The show features three guitarist selected from the generation. The show was created by two guitarists Steve Vai and Joe Satriani in 1996. The first show of G-3 was held in the October of the year 1996. The show featured three premiere guitarists Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. They toured North America. He began playing guitar at the age of 14 when he heard the death news of Jimi Hendrix. Till date he has released many albums like 'Strange Beautiful Music', 'Is There Love in Space?', 'The Electric Joe Satriani: An Anthology' and many more.
Steve Vai or Steven Siro Vai belonging to New York is a known virtuoso guitarist. He is also a composer, and record producer. Steve is also winner of a Grammy Award apart from receiving nine nominations. He has released many albums like 'Alive in an Ultra World', 'The Infinite Steve Vai: An Anthology', 'Real Illusions: Reflections' along with many other albums.
Eric Johnson is a guitarist and recording artist from Austin, Texas. He is a winner of a Grammy Award. His stylistic diversity and technical proficiency have garnered praise from artist like Joe Satriani, B.B. King, Carlos Santana, Prince including late Stevie Ray Vaughan. His single "Cliffs of Dover" won a Grammy award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance in 1991.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a known Blues musician from America. Just at the age of seven he started playing guitar. The New Orleans bluesman Bryan Lee and Stevie Ray Vaughan invited him on stage when he was 13.
John Petrucci is a virtuoso guitarist. He is most famous for founding the the progressive metal group Dream Theater.
Yngwie Johann Malmsteen or Lars Johann Yngve Lannerbäck Malmsteen is guitarist, composer and bandleader from Sweden. But he is most famous for his guitar skills. In 1980's he earned lot of praise for his neo-classical metal and technical proficiency.

 Adrian Legg is a guitarist from Britain, born in East London. He developed interest in guitar during his teen years. He has many solo recordings to his name some of them are 'Waiting for a Dancer ', 'Wine, Women & Waltz', 'Mrs. Crowe's Blue Waltz '.
Robert Fripp is a guitarist and composer from England. He has been in the music industry for more than three decades and encompasses variety of musical genres.
Michael Schenker is a hard rock and heavy metal guitarist from Germany. He is among the founding member of Michael Schenker Group and the Scorpions. He had started playing guitar during his teen years and today is a very famous and respected rock guitarist.
G-3 have held concerts at many places including Europe, South America, Mexico. The 2005 G3 tour was held in Japan as G-3: Live in Tokyo. The tour had Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Steve Vai.
