Adt Skills Challenge Tickets The ADT Skills Challenge is a popular PGA Tour event which tests golfers' abilities in putting, driving distance, and the short game – bunker shots and chip shots- in addition to some hole-play under actual conditions in an eight-skill competition. Four teams will square off on November 15, 2010 at The Breakers Ocean Course in Palm Beach, Florida for the 19th playing of the ADT Skills Challenge, one of the longest-running post-FedExCup competitions. The ADT Skills Challenge introduced a new twist to the format in 2009, adding a "Reverse Scramble" competition to the traditional situational shot-making competition with eight PGA Tour pros competing for a total of $800,000 in prize money. The six mainstay skills – the ADT Long Drive, the Korbel Mid-Iron, The Breakers Bunker Shot, the Under Armour Chip Shot, the ADT Trouble Shot, and the Korbel Short Iron – will take place on the 14th hole, and will be followed by the Reverse Scramble that represents the seventh and eighth skills. In the Reverse Scramble, the four teams will be seeded according to prize money won in the first six skills. With one versus four and two versus three, the teams will play the 14th hole and the two surviving teams will then compete in another one-hole Reverse Scramble for the weighted sum of $200,000 in prize money, enabling most pairs to remain in contention to the end. Contrary to a traditional scramble format, the ADT Golf Skills rules of the Reverse Scramble call for the opposing team to select which shot its rival twosome must play, adding a new dimension to the competition. This format is especially conducive to the ADT Skills Challenge television production approach, which looks to showcase the personalities of the players, all of whom are equipped with microphones throughout the entire competition. In 2008, the ADT Skills Challenge invited the pros to bring their caddies to partner with them in the competition. The team of Greg Norman and Greg Norman, Jr. won the title over the teams of Fred Couples and Joe LaCava, Rocco Mediate and Matt Achatz, and Peter Jacobsen and Fluff Cowan.

2010 Adt Skills Challenge

 In recent years, tournament officials invited LPGA stars, including Annika Sorenstam, Paula Creamer, and Natalie Gulbis, to compete with the men. Major sports celebrities such as John Elway, Dan Marino, Jerry Rice, Roger Clemens, and Mark McGwire have also played. In 2007 the mixed-pair team of Gulbis and Elway were victorious, while baseball's McGwire actually beat out the entire field of professionals to win in 2003! Brandt Snedeker and Boo Weekley won last season's ADT Skills Challenge in a playoff after initially having set themselves apart from the rest of the field by winning three of the first six skills challenges – the bunker shot, chip shot, and trouble shot. In the final of the worse-ball portion of the contest, Snedeker and Weekly initially tied finalists J.B. Holmes and Kenny Perry at par, forcing a playoff on the 305-yard, par-4, 14th hole. Snedeker and Weekley, who split $314,000 in total prize money, gained an edge when Holmes' drive landed on the neighboring 15th tee before Holmes put them into further trouble by hitting into a bunker 46 feet from the hole. The champions sank a three-foot putt to win $200,000 for the Reverse Scramble portion of the event. Holmes made a six-foot putt for par, but Perry's putt skimmed past the hole, ending everything. As you may already know, or know now after reading all of the ins-and-outs of this special competition, this can be a pretty competitive and entertaining PGA Tour event.
