Cvs Caremark Charity Classic Tickets Hosted by PGA Tour players Billy Andrade and Brad Faxon, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic is contested annually as a two-day, two-man team event, while also carrying the distinction of being Rhode Island's largest charitable sporting event. Over the past decade, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic has raised more than $12 million for charities around the region and has provided critical funding for a variety of vital programs in the areas of education, family, and children's issues. The CVS Classic was formerly a tournament on the PGA Tour from 1969 through 1998, and was held under various names at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton, Massachusetts. Since 1999, under its current format and location at the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, Rhode Island, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic is no longer included as a PGA Tour event. In 2009, building on the tournament's history of featuring women's teams, Andrade and Faxon introduced a twist: several mixed-gender teams would compete for the first time in the CVS' eleven-year history. The new co-ed team format paired LPGA stars with PGA and Champions Tour players, and included teams such as Morgan Pressel and Davis Love III, Juli Inkster and Brad Faxon, Helen Alfredsson and Billy Andrade, and Natalie Gulbis with Peter Jacobsen – all eagerly teamed in order to raise money for hundreds of New England area charities.

 The 2009 event organization committee once again selected its full twenty-player field from the ranks of the PGA, LPGA, and Champions tours – including 2008 CVS Caremark Charity Classic champions Camilo Villegas and Bubba Watson, as well as the uncle and nephew duo of Dana and Brett Quigley, who made their eleventh consecutive appearance. The winning team was comprised of Nick Price and David Toms, giving Price his third CVS Classic victory and making him the only player to have won here on multiple occasions – the other two coming in 2006 with Tim Clark and 2001 when partnered with Mark Calcavecchia. It has been said that the CVS Caremark Charity Classic brings an unmatched level of professional golf and excitement to Rhode Island, all in support of the vital work of many non-profit partners throughout the region while making the tournament a success for fans and charitable organizations alike.
