Country music star Clay Walker will kick off the 2011 Houston Rodeo, Tuesday March 1st, 2011 at Reliant Stadium. He released his fourth album Rumor Has It months after his initial diagnosis. However, the disease did not tarnish the quality of Walker's music. The album's title track topped the charts. Walker's album produced two other Top 5 hits, "Watch This" and "Then What".

Clay Walker stayed with Giant records until 2001. His last album with the label was his sixth studio album, Say No More. The album peaked at number 33 on the Country Music Charts, and the albums most popular single "If You Ever Feel Like Lovin' Me Again" found number 27 on the charts.Immediately after releasing Walkers 6th album Giant Records was shut down and he joined Warner Bros. Records. Walker released his Christmas album with his new record company and left shortly after for RCA Records. In 2007, Clay Walker signed with his current record label, Asylum-Curb Records.
Over the course of his career, Clay Walker has produced eleven albums. He has one certified platinum album certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (his debut album Clay Walker). Houston natives admire Texas native Clay Walker for his contributions to the city. Walker wrote a song, "Footballl Time in Houston," and donated it to the Houston Texans. He also sings the National Anthem every season for the Texans' home opener.
