Darius Rucker has made the transition from pop rock front man with Hootie & the Blowfish to country singer. He helped make this difficult transition last year when he made his first appearance at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Houston Rodeo Darius Rucker tickets will be available again this year for his show on March 9, 2010.

The country singer-songwriter will be coming back for more, but without a new album to promote. He came last year to promote Learn to Live, a record that reached number one on the US Country music charts and number five on the US charts. The success translated to record sales, reaching platinum status.

He had an incredible three number one singles off that first country album. Don't Think I Don't Think About It, It Won't Be Like This for Long, and Alright paved the way for the album, and a fourth single, History in the Making, broke into the top ten. No single has been released this year, but the appearance at one of the marquee country events is sure to help him maintain his popularity.
