Houston Rodeo Gary Allen tickets are once again available for the annual concert series complimenting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. His 2011 Houston Rodeo appearance on March 12 will be the fourth time he has played this nationally-renown event, the third time he will take the floor at Reliant Stadium. This Nashville outsider has always thrived here with his unique mix of edgy rock and country thanks to the festival's inviting atmosphere and ultimate goal of putting on the best collective concert of any of the music festivals, regardless of genre.

His latest album, Get Off on the Pain will be over a year old by the time Gary Allen plays on March 12, 2011. In that time the album has peaked at number two on the U.S. Country album chart, number five on the Billboard 200, and number 12 in Canada, all the while inching closer to gold certification. Gary Allen has toured extensively to promote the album and is glad to return to the Houston Rodeo where he has always found an audience waiting to enjoy his music.

Gary Allen began as a country musician in the honky tonk vain. His first album, Used Heart for Sale (1996), surely felt like an older musicians sound from another era. Though Nashville country music culture welcomed him and his sound, he found little fleeting success. His album peaked at just number 20 on the U.S. Country Album chart and 136 on the Billboard 200. His album may have gone gold, but it became very difficult to imagine a life supported by this sound.
