Teen idol Selena Gomez will return to the Houston Rodeo at Reliant Stadium on Sunday, March 6, 2011. This performance marks Selena Gomez's second time to perform at the Houston Rodeo. Selena Gomez tickets are now available and are sought after heavily by her thousands of fans in the Houston area. Gomez is best known for acting on the Emmy Award-winning TV show Wizards of Waverly on the Disney Channel. For the past few years Gomez has been pursuing her musical dream. She is now the lead singer of Selena Gomez & the Scene, a pop rock band. Some popular tracks released by the band are "Naturally," "Falling Down," and "Round & Round."

Selena Gomez is a Texas native and is truly honored to be included in the line up again for the 2011 Houston Rodeo at Reliant Stadium. She has a full schedule of shows in 2011, beginning in January when she tours South America. In March she will return to Texas for two shows, one in Hidalgo, Texas and the other the Houston Rodeo appearance. Gomez actually enjoys playing the Houston Rodeo because it gives her a chance to perform for close family and friends while promoting her latest album A Year Without Rain, her second studio recording album with Hollywood Records. A Year Without Rain has received commendable feedback from critics and is said to have a predominantly dance- pop sound with an electro pop feel. According to Gomez, most of the tracks on the album are dedicated to her fans. Since the album was released in September of 2010 it has produced two Top 40 hits: "Round & Round" and "A Year Without Rain."

Selena Gomez has always had a passion for music but it wasn't until she was an established actress on Wizards of Waverly place, an Emmy Award-winning show on the Disney channel, that she was given a chance to pursue her music career. In 2007 Gomez remade Cruella de Vil for Disneymania Six. After that Gomez went on to record three songs for the Another Cinderella Story soundtrack, and, in 2008, she signed her first record deal with Hollywood Records.
