In This Moment is the metalcore group from Los Angeles signed to Century Media Records. This group is perhaps best known for its lead singer, Maria Brink. She is the rare metalcore singer that can both scream and actually sing. In This Moment tickets are often purchased with the intent of seeing her sing in person, since she is known as much for her voice as her very photogenic looks.
Binks sings, Chis Howorth plays lead guitar and adds a masculine voice when needed, Blake Bunzel plays rhythm guitar, Kyle Konkiel plays bass, and Jeff Fabb plays drums for the group. In This Moment has had a few band changes along the way. Josh Newell played bass guitar for a year for the band, Pascual Romero played bass the same year, and Jesse Landry recently left as the bass guitarist in 2010.
The band released their debut album in 2007. Beautiful Tragedy did not chart and did not reach any record certification. However, Bink did earn a spot on the Hottest Chicks in Metal Tour that year. In This Moment's sophomore album, released in 2008, performed much better, peaking at number 73 on the Billboard 200 and number 12 on the U.S. Hard Rock charts. The Dream landed the band on the 2009 Warped Tour and the Download Festival in the UK.
