Nineteen-ninty-five proved to be another tumultuous year for the Jayhawks. Lead sing-writer Mark Olson left the group and was replaced with guitarist Kraig Johnson. Without Olson, the group veered far more mainstream and folk than country. Suddenly, Jayhawks became much less Americana and much more Neil Young. The band continued to change its sound as the decade wore on and the new century changed the music landscape once again. The 2000 album Smile marked a move toward a more pop sound. Three years later, the Jayhawks returned with a more acoustic album, Rainy Day Music. The album also became their best charting entry into the Billboard 200, peaking ay number 51. The Jayhawks released an anthology six years later, but the band had been on hiatus since 2005. Now in 2010, the Jayhawks are back with a re-release of their first studio album. The group, which will still play shows together on occasion, now consists of Gary Louris, Marc Pearlman, and Tim O-Reagan. OnlineSeats will have Jayhawks tickets for any concert dates or extensive tour schedule that may be revealed after their re-release. The time is right for this Alt-country band to play before a live audience across the nation once again. Check here first for the best seats and the cheapest prices on the secondary ticket market.
