Riopelle was hired as a staff writer and producer for Philles Records and he soon landed the company a top 20 hit with the number ‘Home of the Brave'. The hits kept on coming as Riopelle earned another feather in his cap with hits for artists like Nino Tempo and April Stevens. He soon moved on to A&M Records and earned himself a place as staff writer at Irving Music. He was soon churning out tunes for big names such as Rita Coolidge, Kenny Loggins, Meatloaf, The Parade, Brewer and Shipley and The We Five.
