John Mayer & Sheryl Crow together conducted tour recently and it was a huge success, considering that both are talented artists. Both had appeared together on the Cars Soundtrack together. They together performed the dynamic hits "Soak Up the Sun" and "If It Makes You Happy". They sparked up the event with their performance, that truly marked the arrival as one of music's premier talents.
John Mayer was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He did his schooling from Fairfield High School. He then joined Brien Mohandas High School for his junior year, where he was enrolled in the Center for Global Studies at Brien McMohan High School. It is also known as the Center for Japanese Studies Abroad. Although he listened to pop music, but when he was thirteen years old he yearned to learn playing guitar, after he was greatly influenced by Stevie Ray Vaugham, Mayer. After listening to them, he discovered the blues and also learned to play the guitar. He continued practicing for the next two years. After that he started playing at blues bars and also other venues in the area. He was also a part of the band called Villanova Junction with Tim Procaccini, Joe Beleznay and Rich Wolf, while he was in high school.
When Mayer was suddenly struck with a cardiac arrhythmia, at the age of seventeen, he had to spent one whole week in the hospital. While he was in the hospital, he started writing songs and when he was released from the hospital, he penned his first lyrics the night he got home. When he was nineteen years old, he enrolled himself in the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Later he started playing in the local coffeehouse and club circuit, in venues like Eddie's Attic. He released his first solo album, Inside Wants Out. He became popular and he started playing in th Atlanta circuit, and also in a number of shows, at venues like Eddie's Attic. It was in the year 2000, that proved to be a turning point in his life, he was playing at the South by Southwest Music Festival and this led to a recording contract with Aware Records, a subsidiary of Columbia. He then began recording his major-label debut, Room for Squares. He worked with producer John Alagia, who had the rapport of working with famous artists like Dave Matthews and the Ben Folds Five. The album spawned a number of radio hits, such as "No Such Thing", "Your Body Is A Wonderful", and ultimately, "Why Georgia". "Your Body Is a Wonderful" won him Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in the year 2003. He released the lucrative follow-up album Heavier Things in the same year. It was a commercial success and was critically acclaimed. It also topped the charts for a time. Till date, "Daughters" has been the most successful single and it also won him Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 2005, beating Alicia Keys and Kanye West. He dedicated this award to his grandmother, who died in the year 2004. He also won the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. His dedicated fan base grew day by day. He has also worked with hip hop artist and producer Kanye West.

Sheryl Crow was born in Kennett, Missouri. Since her family was already into music, it was quite natural that she follow their footsteps. From the young age she was a perfectionist and was quite active in choir, athletics and school plays. In 1984, she did her major in music education with a concentration in piano from the University of Missouri. She played Keyboards in a cover band called Cashmere. She also used to teach autistic children music. Side by side she also recorded local advertising jingles. She got her first big break when she was selected for a backup singer on Michael Jackson's international Bad Tour. After spending two years with Jackson's band, she left the band. She had to struggle for quite a some time. She recorded her new official debut titled Tuesday Night Music Club and it was released in the year 1993. Lead single Run Baby Run made little impact and Leaving Las Vegas attracted some attention. She then recorded her next song All I Wanna Do, it became one of the biggest summer singles of 1994. Suddenly, out of the blues, her debut album Tuesday Night Music Club started gaining fans and was critically acclaimed. In 1955 Sheryl took home honors for Best New Artist, Best Female Rock Vocal and Record of the Year. Her sudden rise to fame pushed Tuesday Night Music Club to become the blockbuster, and Sheryl became a star. In 1998, she released her third album, The Globe Sessions and it won her another Grammy for Best Rock Album. In the year 2001 she produced several tracks on Stevie Nicks' 2001 album, Trouble in Shangri-La, as well as recorded a duet with Kid Rock.
