Kem Owens is a singer/songwriter and producer. He was born in Nashville and raised in one of Detroit's suburbs. He moved to studio in 2002 and recorded his debut album, "Kemistry."He promoted his album in every way that he could, in concerts, music stores and even beauty. Since his album was an independent release, he had to market it himself. He set a target of selling 10,000 records, and achieved it in less than a year. Seeing his success, Motown records signed him up and released hi album nationwide and around the Globe. The album became Gold and Kem's dream seemed to be coming true.
Kem released his much anticipated follow-up, "Album II," in May 2005. The album went Gold less than a month from its release. The music of the album is arranged mostly with electric piano and drumbeats that are enhanced by Kem's smooth vocals. He is currently touring the United States promoting his latest release "Album II."
