Kid Koala real name is Eric San. He was born on 1974 in Vancouver in Canada. He did his elementary education from McGill University. He is well known for his unique as well as mysterious style of turntablism that he plays with a remarkable collection of samples, that he is known to be used from Charlie Brown, sketches from the old comedy routines, sneezing of people and also the way that Cantonese people goes through the menu. Apart from this, he is famous for his cheerful nature in the concerts and also his good sense of humor. Another strange thing about him is that he has designed all of his album covers, since he is an accomplished illustrator as well as an artist.  His Best Friends are the DJs that consists of chess set as part of the packaging. He conducted a series of cabaret- style tour all over North America, Europe and Australia. This tour was known as The Short Attention Span Theater. It featured something that the audience didn't predicted- an opening act, a bingo game at intermission, 3 DJs on 8 turntables set up like a band and a host of quirky surprises. After completion of this tour, Kid Koala then performed DJ sets all over Asia. With his style of turntables, he gained popularity in Iceland, Eastern Europe, Russia, and South America. Side by side working on a fresh new book., which is believed to be about a mosquito trying to play a clarinet. He is also preparing to host a unique puppet show, that is believed to take place in the year 2008. His credit lies in his method of popularizing as well as playing the turntable like a melodious instrument, wherein a long, single note is pulled beneath the needle at different speeds, thus creating different pitches. As, this way of adapting pitch is vague, the notes that results from it bends and waver. It is because of this reason we find in the song Drunk Trumpet, a trumpet note that stimulates a drunken trumpet player, diversifying the vocals of a drunkard to complete the whole effect. Some of his well known albums that he has released are Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, it is the Ninja tune, in the year 2000 and Some of my Best Friends are DJs in the year 2003 . He released his new album, entitled "Your Mom's Favourite DJ" in the year 2006.
Other notable releases are Scratchcratchratchatch, it is a demo album, Nufonia Must Fall, a graphic novel accompanying 17 minute audio CD and Live from the Short Attention Span Audio Theater Tour!!, containing the videos of the live performance.
Presently he is signed to the British Ninja Tune record label. He also tours as well as performs with a jam band, Bullfrog. In the meantime, he has also appeared with innumerable artists. He is also credited for making contributions to Deltron 3030, Gorillaz, Lovage and a host of other bands.
