Born January 3, 1978, and raised in Hartsville, Tennessee, a small town just outside of Nashville Kimberley Locke grew up singing; she used to sing in the Church, for family and for fun. She studied at Nashville's Belmont University, and also sang with the local bands, before trying for American Idol
In 2003.Though she did not reach the finals, however it landed her with a recording contract, and her debut single was released in March 2004, titled "8th World Wonder,"
Which was followed by "one love ", in May.
