He made his first debut at the tender age of 8, performing in an orchestra. His entire list of works includes a wide range of composers. They are- 24 Preludes and Fugues from the Well-Tempered Clavier Book I by Bach, 14 Mozart Piano Sonatas, 12 Beethoven Piano Sonatas, as well as works by Haydn, Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Debussy, and Ravel. Not only this, his repertoire concerto consists of the works of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Schumann. Kit has written and composed in various styles and also includes a number of compositions for solo piano, a viola sonata, three string quartets, a piano quartet, piano quintet, wind quintet, two piano concertos, a cello concerto, and a symphony. When he was seven years old, he composed a symphony, "Celebration" and it was later played by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. He has won a number of state competitions and in addition to it, he has also awarded the Morton Gould Young Composer Award and that too, surprisingly, for consecutively four years.
In 2003, he was invited at the Carnegie Hall to perform in the Steinway and Sons' 150th Anniversary concert. He was also asked to perform in the Classical Music Luncheon of the 44th Annual Grammy Awards, where they were honoring Van Cliburn, and given recitals for the Vancouver Recital Society and Stanford Lively Arts. Then in the year, he was widely praised when he performed the Beethoven Piano Concerto No.1 along with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. This concert was organized by Arild Remmereit. Recently, he again performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Presently, resides in London with his principal piano teacher Benjamin Kaplan. Apart from playing piano, he enjoys doing mathematical problems, playing with his two pet chickens, juggling, skiing, playing tennis, squash, and flying paper airplanes.
