D.J Simi aka Simone Cavagnuolo is the third member of La Famiglia and first discovered Hip Hop in 1985 at the young age of 13. His stints as a DJ in major venues throughout Europe have helped the band both at a creative level and a technical level. The group has collaborated with the likes of Chief and Soci on the song ‘Mazz'e Panell' on the CD "Il mondo che non c'e" and this association saw them garnering a modicum of popularity. Their other highly commendable collaborations were with D.J. Enzo on the CD "Tutti X Uno" in ‘E uno, due tre e Quattro' and also on "107 Elementi" in the single ‘Solo Fumo' for Neffa. Their first full length album is called "41 degree Parallelo" and is so named as this is the geographic reference point for both New York and their hometown of Napoli. This was done to symbolize the fact that these two cities lying across the globe from each other share a common spontaneity, creativity and vitality that in effect taps the vibrant energy of street life.
