Larry Hernandez was born in Los Angeles, California, but at 4 years old his parents took him to Culiacan, Sinaloa in western Mexico, where he lived for much of his adolescence. His musical influence comes from his grandfather who is musician and several cousins and relatives who are famous artists. His beginnings as a musician were in school in Culiacan, with a group that represented the state of Sinaloa.
