Jabbawocheez began as the dance trio of Swaggerboy, KB, and Emajoenation. Then called “Three Musky”, they adopted their signature mask and glove motif to pay tribute to a dance crew from San Francisco in the 1960s. By 2004, the trio had moved to San Diego and the group had grown. Now known as the Jabbawocheez (a name taken as a literal reference to the Lewis Carroll poem), the group stood six strong, though in a few months that group grew to eleven.
Jabbawocheez took seven of its dance members on the program America’s Best Dance Crew. Unfortunately one of those chosen seven, Gary “Gee”Kendall died before the talent program began. Jabbawocheez would win the program in its first season, turning the win into an international tour and a Las Vegas residency.

The dance crew that has taken the Monte Carlo Theatre stage has remained much the same as the crew that won the ABDC. Currently Jabbawocheez is comprised of Gary “Gee” Kendall. That means that Ben “B-Tek” Chung, Joe “Emajoenation/Punkee” Larot, Chris “Cristlye” Gatdula, Kevin “Keilbee” Brewer, Rynan “Kid Rainen” Paguio, Jeff “Phi” Nguyen, Ryan Ellis, Saso “King Saso” Jimenez, Randy “DJ Wish One” Bernal, Eddie “Eddie Styles” Gutierrez, and Phil “Swaggerboy” Tayag remain together on the Monte Carlo Theatre Stage.
