Background- Since 1999, Left Hand Smoke has been rocking the world with their soulful and melodious music.
The band members of Left Hand Smoke are Ben Mish as the lead vocalist and on keyboards and harmonica; Andrew Cloutier as the drummer, and as the vocalist; Will Mish as the lead guitarist ; Ronan O'Mahony as the vocalist, guitarist, bass guitarist, and percussionist.
Left Hand Smoke has been formed by brothers Ben Mish, who is a piano enthusiast and soul voice and a rowdy attitude, and Will Mish, who is a guitar wizard and has garnered praise for his talent and has got the superb sense of melody and blues. They are joined by Ronan O'Mahony who is Irish-born and is a multi-talented rhythm guitarist. He is the childhood friend and co-songwriter of the Mish brothers. Then there is the unimitable stick-man Andrew Cloutier who is deft on drums, Left Hand Smoke music consists of a beautiful blend of neo-soul and rock which is fused into traditional, but is entirely original and fresh. Artist Biography - Left Hand Smoke

In the year 1999, Ben Mish and Ronan O'Mahony became famous world-wide. They have been performing in the shows in one way or another. In the year 1998, both of them decided to showcase their skills to the wider audience. Within 18 months they formed their first band and started composing songs together. Their first song was a hit on the radio, and it started appearing on TV, the songs made them popular and it made the industry folk sit up and take notice of them.
In the year 1999, the Left Hand Smoke released their self-titled debut album in the year 1999. The songs in the album astonished the West Coast. The songs garnered rave reviews from the critics as well as from the publications like LA's Radio & Record, and newspapers around the coast. After that there was no looking back.
Four song from the album were licensed for network television. The song 'Blues Eyes Shining', appeared on the hit show ER. The next song Step Outside that featuring Death Cab for Cutie's Jason McGerr on drums, recieved major airplay from Seattles AAA format KMTT 103.7 FM The Mountain. It made the band to act as headliner in many major performance venues. That was not the end, album also receive many gold stars. The album was selected as the of the year in West Coast Performer Magazine, Top 10 in the Amazon.com rock charts, and the single Step Outside was a top 10 request for 103.7 FM. The live version of the song featured on the stations with other popular numbers. The song On the Mountain 6 compilation appeared alongside Tom Waits, Counting Crows, David Gray, and others. With this, the band embarked upon an extensive tour.
With the inclusion of the talented and brilliant Andrew Cloutier on the drums, the band then released So Many Faces and Nonsense Parade. It took the band across the West Coast. After the release of their third record in the year 2003, LHS still garners favorable reviews from fans, peers and critics. They were also the headliner in the Backyard Stage at Seattles famous Bumbershoot Festival in September 2004. They opened for Maroon 5 during their Northwest leg of the national John Mayer/Maroon 5 tour. The band member Ben Mish opened for Gavin DeGraw during his 2005 tour. The band also played with Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam during a benefit show in Seattle in May 2004. What's more the following year, Mike McCready joined LHS on stage for a cover of Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones. The song Down the Road of the band was licensed by Pangolin Pictures to use it on the Discovery Channel. In addition, in the year 2005, Left Hand Smoke was voted as the Seattles Best Pop/Rock Band of 2005 by readers of the Seattle Weekly.
