Background- Three strangers met and decided to form a band, unknown of the fact that in the near future, they will become one of the much sought-after band!
In 1995, three strangers met and decided to form a band when they found they shared same interests and thus was formed LFO or Lyte Funky Ones, by Rich Cronin, Brian Gillis, known as Brizz and Brad Fischetti. Soon they became a trio recording and performing rap and hip-hop music throughout Europe. When asked what "LFO" stands for, the band members commonly reply, "We like it because it looks cool as a logo." They became well-known for their hit song "Summer Girls" and its often-repeated line "New Kids on the Block had a bunch of hits".
One of their biggest single was, "The Way You Like It", which was produced by Max Martin. Martin is the man behind the hits for all the BSB and NSync. They produced another hit called "If I Can't Have You", that reached #11 on the UK charts. In the year 1999, Brizz left the group to pursue a solo career. He was successful in his solo career that lead him to a number college tours and also helped him to secure a job in the music industry along with the promotion of the radio position in Florida with BMG.

Although Brizz had left the band, but Fischetti and Cronin continued in their endeavor to chase their dreams and make a name in the music field. So they moved to the United States and there they had an open audition for the inclusion of a new member. At that time Devin Lima was chosen in place of Brizz. At that time, Lima was an employee of a hardware store at the time. The then signed up with Trans Continental and later they signed up with Arista Records. During that time LFO also recorded some songs in former New Kids in the basement of Block singer Danny Wood. Actually, Wood was a long-time friend of Brian Gillis and so he allowed LFO to record songs in the basement. They recorded a number of songs to make a demo. Among all those songs, the song "Summer Girls" was the one that changed the musical career of UFO and also lead LFO to path of success. The song was first played at the radio station, which the band members leaked through a friend. The song was so pleasing that it attracted the attention of the listeners, that "Summer Girls" made its way to the Top 10 at the Billboard Hot 100.
Their first self-titled album, "LFO", sold for over 2.5 million copies throughout the world. It also scored second at the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Summer Girls" and "Girl on TV". After that there was no looking back. In the year 1999, "Summer Girls" was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for Top Selling Single of the Year. The song sold for over 1.5 million copies in the US. The song consisted a non sequiturs, such as "You're the best girl that I ever did see/the great Larry Bird, jersey 33" and "Fell deep in love, but now we ain't speakin'/Michael J. Fox was Alex P. Keaton." The album also featured many vocal parts from original member Brizz. In the year 2000, the band toured relentlessly performing at over 230 concerts. They also opened an act for Britney Spears and was also the co-headliner for Nickelodeon's All That Music & More summer tour. Another single "Girl on TV" of LFO entered the UK chart at #6. In the year 2000 the band also won the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Group of the Year.
The year 2000 was a busy year for LFO, featuring nonstop tours performing They also served as opening act for They also found success in the UK at the same time when "Girl on TV" entered the UK chart at #6.
