Live/Wire consist of six guys who play tribute to both phases of the history of AC/DC's music- the phase where Bon Scott was vocalist and when Brian was lead singer. The band is able to recreate to a tee either singer's histrionics and voice and has a duckwalking guitarist Angaz who is only second to the legendary Angus Young himself.
Live/ Wire came together in Hull in 1997 and by 1999 they were playing all over the local band scene. In 2000, their foray into the tribute band arena was complete when guitarist Gary donned the school uniform and completed the AC/DC stage persona. In 2001 they played at the Rock and Blues Festival in Donnington alongside acts like Ash, Wishbone and U.F.O. They have also performed live on Scottish radio and for German troops who were AC/DC fans- each venue was met with rousing applause and demands for more. In 2005, the band did a series of special tribute contests in memory of Bon Scott who died in February of that year.
